The Superman and Wonder Woman Starter pack has been uploaded to Sidekick.

I will eventually update the die colors to make the appear a little more accurately. The scans I found were not in the greatest light.

All of the data for Batman has been uploaded!

No fancy implementation for flip cards yet, but maybe I can figure out someway to make them look a little prettier in the future. For now, though, it is serviceable.

Version 1.5.0 has been released with some often requested features.

• Added Modern and Golden Age support. Not only is it available in the search screen, but it has been added to the main Catalog view to quickly filter down IPs and Sets by the rotation type you want to browse.
• Added the ability to copy an existing team!
• Cards in the team details screen can now be interacted with in the same was as cards in the catalog. Tap on a card to copy ability text, search the rules forum, or add that card to another team.
• Create a random team! When creating a new team, you will now have the option to add random cards.
  • Click the "Add Random Cards" text under the team name textbox.
  • A row will be added below showing the number of cards that will be added, as well as the parameters for those cards. By default it will be random from among all cards.
  • Tap on edit parameters on a row to change the subset of cards your random cards will come from. Maybe you want to limit it to just basic actions or characters, maybe a certain rarity. It uses the same screen as search, so you can be as specific or general as you like.
  • When you create the team, it will randomly add cards based on all of the provided parameters.
• Rewrote the way cards are loaded in the Catalog view, for substantial performance improvements.
  • On the simulator it was taking 7.5 seconds to load the entire set of cards, that is now down to 0.5!
• Enabled rotation for the app on iPad. I can't promise it will look great, but people asked for it.
• Minor text fixes.

The newest version of Sidekick has made its way onto the App Store!

The only feature added as a filter in search to filter by cards that are part of the new Pro Dice Circuit Prime rotation. You can read more about this new format at the Pro Dice Circuit website here. In the future, I will add an indication at the card and/or set level to indicate the inclusion in PDC Prime, but for now, a search will allow you to narrow your collection down to just those in the format. You may have to go to settings and force a database refresh to download the latest data that includes the flag to indicate that the card is PDC Prime or not. Please let me know if any cards are categorized improperly.

Readded the swirl image for swirled dice that somehow got deleted from the most recent versions.

The biggest reason for this update is that the service I was using to host the online portion of the database is being shut down in January, so I had to migrate the database to a new (more expensive :/) service. You must update to this version of the app by January 28th if you want a working app!

As a side note, I accidentally deleted the image used to create the swirl effect on dice, so that will be missing until the next update.

Version 1.3.5 of Sidekick was just approved for the App Store. Here is an overview of the changes.

• Tapping on a card will now open a context menu that allows you to:
  • Copy that card's text.
  • Search that card on the rules forum. This is a "beta" simply because I'm not sure it is going to work for all cases, but at least it is out there.
• Added Foil types to search
  • Searching has a new option to filter the search based on "All", "Standard", or "Foil". This allows you to search for only the cards that have foil versions.
  • This also combines with the existing Collection search feature.
    • Searching for Owned with Standard or Foil selected will search for cards where you own that type. Search for "All" will search for cards where you own either.
    • Searching for Unowned with Standard or Foil will search for cards where you do not own that type. Searching for "All" will search for cards where you do not own standard, foil, or both.
• Wish List and Trade List will now show a context menu before displaying for sets with Foil cards, allowing you to specify how you want to create you Wish or Trade List.

Also, Ms. Marvel OP cards were added recently.

The full Green Arrow and The Flash set is now available!

A few notes.

Foils - There are now separate counts for standard and foil versions of each card. This does mean that the totals on the front page will represent how many of each type. So in this set, it shows 116 cards and 124 foils, as the Super Rares apparently have no standard versions.

Multiple Energy characters - Now some characters have multiple energy types. I have added all the possible combinations of energy to the search screen, including triples, which don't exist yet. When searching, you will only see Crossover characters when you search for their specific double energy type, not the individual types.

The last release should have fixed the issue where it was crashing for some users when trying to view a card. If you left a negative review regarding this crash, I would greatly appreciate if you would update your review (after verifying it is fixed for you, of course).

The Dr. Strange Team Pack has been added to the database. It will be available next time you open the app.

I'm trying to nail down why the app is not showing sets and/or cards for some users as well as crashing. I haven't been able to reproduce this locally, and no crash reports have been submitted to XCode so it is proving to be difficult to track down. If any users are experiencing any problems such as these, please contact me with a bug report so I can fix this as soon as possible.

In the meantime, a fresh install of the app will almost always fix any issues with the database.
